The Seoul Dynasty are a founding Overwatch League team based out of Seoul, South Korea. They are owned by entrepreneur Kevin Chou, who also co-owns esports organization Gen.G. Another popular team with a large fan following, they compete in the Eastern Division with several of the Asia expansion teams. Their signature colours are gold and black, and their logo prominently features these colours in a depiction of a tiger’s face.

Seoul Dynasty Roster 2021

The Dynasty roster currently has 8 active players. They are as follows:

  • Minseo “Marve1” Hwang – Tank
  • Dongeon “FITS” Kim – DPS
  • Junyoung “Profit” Park – DPS
  • Jaehui “Gesture” Hong – Tank
  • Youngwan “Creative” Kim – Support
  • Hyunwoo “Toyou” Lim – Tank
  • Jongryeol “Saebyeolbe” Park – DPS
  • Taesung “Anamo” Jung – Support

In the offseason, the Dynasty picked up two very powerful additions to their roster. Saebyeolbe and Anamo, longtime teammates on the New York Excelsior, both joined the Dynasty following the 2020 season. This acquisition is strong for a number of reasons. For one, both Saebyeolbe and Anamo are regulars in the OWL, and they carry that experience with them to the Dynasty. Secondly, these two players have spent significant time playing together in New York, and that established chemistry will help them quickly adapt to their new home. If you’re looking to bet on Seoul Dynasty, now could be prime time with the addition of these two, as we strongly believe that they will make the Dynasty a safe Overwatch bet.

Seoul Dynasty Past Achievements

For the Seoul Dynasty, their inaugural OWL season went much like that of the San Francisco Shock’s. After a somewhat shaky start, the Dynasty finished with the 8th overall record. Unfortunately for them, this led to them missing out on both the midseason stage playoffs and the postseason playoffs. Following these defeats, the Dynasty looked to pivot and make a stronger showing in future seasons.

In the 2019 season, the Dynasty got off to a strong start, placing 3rd/4th in the Stage 1 Playoff round and drastically swinging the Overwatch betting odds in their favour. However, they couldn’t keep up the momentum, and finished the postseason playoffs in the 7th/8th spot. In the 2019 offseason, the Dynasty made serious commitments to rebuilding and recruitment. This move ended up paying dividends for them in the 2020 season. Although they only had the 11th overall record, they showed up huge in the playoffs, placing 2nd in both the Asia bracket and the Grand Finals tourney. With their new roster additions, expect the Dynasty to continue to improve.
